About me

Hi, I’m Jasveen

I am a highly qualified MBACP counsellor & psychotherapist based in Twickenham  / St Margaret's, dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space where you can explore your emotions, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and feel truly heard without judgement.  I will not offer advice but I will support your personal growth and healing through thoughtful questioning.

Whilst I am multilingual in Hindi, Punjabi, and Swahili I offer therapy in English only.

My Background:

Before embarking on my path to becoming a therapist, I thrived as a Group Sales Executive in the airline industry, accumulating over two decades of expertise in hospitality, travel, and tourism. My transition to therapy stems from a personal journey of self-discovery and a passion for understanding human behaviour.

Client-Counsellor Relationship:

I believe the therapeutic relationship stands as a pivotal factor in the efficacy of therapy. Identifying a therapist with whom you authentically connect and experience a profound sense of comfort is of utmost importance. I am here to help you find clarity, connection, and resilience on your journey.

What I can help with:

I offer support to individuals facing a wide range of challenges some of these include: Grief, loss, bereavement, relationship difficulties, childhood traumas, parenting struggles, loneliness, anxiety, panic, low self-esteem, job loss, and redundancy.

Additionally, I have extensive experience supporting individuals navigating the emotional impact of health diagnosis such as menopause, peri-menopause, baby loss as well as serious conditions such as cancer.

I do not offer couples therapy or counselling for children.

Where to start:

If you’ve been struggling in silence or feel unsure about where to start, therapy can be a powerful first step. I offer a free 20-minute consultation (via phone or online) where we can discuss your concerns, explore if we’re the right fit, and determine the best approach to support your journey.

Training, qualifications & experience

  •  BSc ( Hons ) in Person-Centred Pluralistic Counselling & Psychotherapy (Advanced Practitioner) -  Level 6 BACP accredited qualification - Middlesex University.
  •  Diploma in Pluralistic Person-Centred Advanced Practitioner Counselling awarded by Metanoia Institute, London.

My therapeutic approach combines person-centred and pluralistic theories, recognizing and respecting the uniqueness of each individual.

Within my practice, I incorporate creative and expressive techniques, providing them as options for individuals who may benefit from them.

There is no pressure to engage in these techniques if they do not resonate with your preferences or therapeutic goals.

I actively participate in supervision and continuously enhance my professional skills for our collaborative work.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
