About me
I am a RELATE trained integrative, individual and couple counsellor and Life Coach. I believe that a trusting relationship between the client and counsellor is the 'Key' to successful theraputic experiences, leading to a positive impact on the client's life. I provide a non-judgemental, confidential, empathic and honest environment for my client.
As a counsellor, my role is to help my client to get unstuck, and move forward in life. I help my clients to find their voice in the sessions and explore their choices in life. I help my clients to find their own inner-power, resilience and confidence, and teach them how to find resources and support systems outside of the counselling room, so they will be confident to self-manage after therapy.
I provide a free 20 minute telephone consultation to get to know my clients prior to official sessions being booked.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma in Counselling Level 5 in Person-Centred counselling with Existential, Gestalt, CBT and psychodynamic approaches, with experience in short-term and long-term counselling. Although I explore their past with my clients, we always focus on being connected with the 'Here and Now'.
I also include Solution Focused therapy, Life Coaching, assertiveness, mindfulness and Cognative Behavioural Therapy to overcome life challenges help client to achieve their future goals. I like to use different materials, skills and activities in the therapy room to tailor to each client's needs.
I have Relationship Diploma Level 5, having worked as a RELATE trained couple and relationships counsellor, I employ a systemic understanding of both an individual's and couple's situation. I have worked with clients experiencing attachment issues, commitment issues, miscommunications, intimacy issues, divorce, separations, sexual problems, loss, betrayal, affairs, addictions, domestic violence, step family issues and other topics.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
