About me
Young People: Being young can be pretty tough. Friendship fall outs, conflict with parents, exam pressures, neurodivergence and social media all play their part to make life as a teenager today seem like a lot to contend with. As well as this finding ones unique identify and place in the world is both exciting and daunting.
Adults: Life’s pressures can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be finding everyday a struggle, suffering from anxiety or navigating the challenges which come from parenting a child with a disability or neurodivergent needs. You might have recently received a diagnosis of ADHD or Autism and you are wondering what this means for you.
I offer counselling for young people aged 14+ along with adults - both face-to-face in Bangor and online. I am a neuro-affirming therapist with both life and professional experience of neurodiversity and will meet you exactly where you are.
I use a respectful, non-judgmental and playful approach to provide a space where you can be heard and begin to understand yourself and your own unique gifts and strengths.
With extensive life, and professional experience in the above areas, I can provide a safe space for you to explore your feelings at a pace to suit you. I will not rush you or ask you to cover anything you don’t wish to and I believe in working with the whole person – mind, body and spirit to bring about genuine and lasting healing and change.
I hope to provide a space where you can be “real” so accept you as you are with no pretence. In turn I will be authentic and honest with you so we can collaborate to address whatever brings you to counselling in the best way for you.
