About me

I’m Jamie‑Lee, a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor supporting children, adolescents and young adults through anxiety, overwhelm, identity questions, school stress and trauma. My approach is warm, steady and relational, offering young people a safe space to express themselves at their own pace.

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Practice, a Level 3 Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling, and a Level 6 qualification in Dance and Performing Arts, which informs my creative, expressive approach to therapy. I am DBS checked, trained in safeguarding, and experienced in working 1:1 in a school setting, supporting children with a wide range of emotional and behavioural needs.

My further training includes:

Autism, ADHD and understanding AuDHD
Attachment and relational development
Child Sexual Exploitation: Support and Interventions
Trauma‑informed techniques for distressed children and young people

I work in a calm, grounded and developmentally‑attuned way, helping young people make sense of their emotions, build confidence, and feel more secure in themselves and their relationships. Parents often tell me they feel reassured knowing their child has a consistent, supportive adult alongside them during a challenging stage of life.

In-person sessions take place in a peaceful, purpose-built space nestled within the garden at my home in Surbiton, on the borders of London and Surrey (KT5/KT6). Thoughtfully designed to offer privacy and calm, it provides a quiet retreat where you can feel safe, supported, and at ease. It is a 15 minute walk from Surbiton station and there are multiple bus routes that stop a few minutes walk away. There is also free on street parking.

Walk-and-talk therapy takes place in the green open spaces just moments from my home. Walking side-by-side often feels less intense than sitting face-to-face, making it easier to open up at your own pace.

I’m often asked, ‘what is Integrative counselling?’ In a nutshell, I’m trained in many different counselling techniques such as cognitive-behavioural (CBT), person-centred, psychodynamic, humanistic counselling and play therapy models which allows me to tailor my sessions to suit you! I can adapt my style as your needs evolve. This is what makes Integrative Counselling so brilliant! I believe that therapy is unique as the person receiving it and my approach reflects this.
If you’re looking for a therapist who’s real, brings authenticity, creativity, and genuine care, I’d love to connect.

Further information

It’s okay to send your child to therapy.
It’s not a taboo! There is nothing ‘wrong’ with them. Life is just challenging for our young people these days, and offering your child a time and space just for them, to navigate what they’re going through safely, without judgment, makes you an excellent parent! Your actions are saying to them, you’re important, I value you, and I want you to feel empowered and confident to be you.
