About me

Hi, I'm Jamie and I'm a counsellor working in the North East Wales and Cheshire area. I love my work as I love working with people and creating the conditions they need to help get them where they want to be. I'm trained in person-centred counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy and qualified to work with adults and young people.

I have plenty of experience in both counselling therapy and guided self-help, having worked with several EAPs, NHS, North East Wales Mind, and more. I work in a relaxed and informal manner, though always professional, as I believe this helps both counsellor and client to build a strong and trusting relationship.

I understand it can be difficult making that first step so, if a call seems a little daunting, I am happy for you to text or email me initially and I'll always respond as soon as I possibly can. We can then together arrange a first session if you want to proceed.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
