About me

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Jimmy, and I have been working as an integrative, holistic and empathetic Psychotherapist for the past four years, here to offer a safe, trusting and non-judgemental space for you.

Life can present us with a host of obstacles and challenges which can affect our day-to-day which is very normal and common, and we need to process, understand and address how we are feeling and being affected, and counselling can help with providing dedicated space and time for you to understand your emotions.

I offer counselling virtually, telephone or face-to-face (dependent on location)

What type of counselling do I provide?

Each client is an expert in their own world; I treat every client as an individual, and  we will work collaboratively to support you - I have experience in: person-centred therapy, cognitive-behaviour therapy, psychodynamic therapy, creative therapy, solution-focused therapy and more.

I can help with present or past struggles and have a particular interest in supporting young adults and upwards, and have experience in working with a variety of issues as noted at the bottom of my page.

How do I know whether counselling is right for me?

Prior to any sessions being scheduled, I offer a free of charge 'Getting to know me call', which allows you to explain your situation in more detail, and ask any questions about the service that I provide. This is a non-obligatory call and it provides you with the chance to identify whether you feel I would be the right kind of counsellor for you, and whether you think we would work well together

You are valid, your experiences are valid, your feelings are valid - our sessions can be whatever you need: to cry, to feel angry, to feel sad, to feel happy, to try to make sense of what you are feeling; I will offer a safe, trusting and confidential space where you will meet no judgement, and have dedicated time to yourself to explore your feelings.

How many sessions will I need?

A very common question with counselling -  I would recommend for our sessions to take place weekly to begin with (as this is how we can build trust with each other) and then if appropriate, the sessions could then expand to bi-weekly or monthly sessions together.

If you would like a FREE 20 minute telephone consultation, please get in touch via the mentioned methods above.
