About me

Hello, I am Jade.

I’m a qualified psychodynamic therapist and a registered member of the BACP. I’ve worked collaboratively with people facing anxiety, grief, low mood, feeling stuck and relationship difficulties.

My style is compassionate and reflective, rooted in the understanding that our early experiences and relationships profoundly shape who we are.

Therapy with me.

I am trained as a psychodynamic therapist and my style is relational. I will meet you where you are and we work towards your goals, at your own pace. Each therapy is as unique as the person in front of me.

My commitment to and engagement with the ethical standards set by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, of which I am a member, underpin my therapy practice.

What to expect in therapy.

In therapy with me, you are invited to talk about your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations in a way that feels right for you. You decide what to share and at what pace. I will listen carefully and be curious with you.

We may explore different parts of your life, including your childhood and important relationships, as these experiences often shape how we see ourselves and others. We can also gently look at experiences that may have felt overwhelming or unsafe, such as loss, grief, or difficult life events, and how they continue to affect you.

Our work together is not linear and will unfold over time. I place great importance on building a trusting, supportive relationship with you, as this forms the foundation for meaningful therapy.

Session Format:

I currently have space to see clients in London, Bristol and throughout the UK online.

Sessions are for 50 minutes and at the same day and time each week.

Initial Consultation:

I offer a free 15-minute phone call to explore whether we might work well together. This is an informal space for you to ask questions and get a feel for what to expect.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • PgDip in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from University of Brighton
  • Registered Member of the BACP
  • I have a current and enhanced DBS Check
  • Previous volunteer experience in crisis support teams and within charities

I work with clients with a wide range of experiences and concerns; some of the specialities I work with are:

  • Adverse childhood experiences
  • Family relationships
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Bereavements and loss of all kind

I work in a trauma-informed way, which means I am aware of the ways trauma can impact our overall health. In counselling sessions, I will remain curious about how you feel in your body and mind.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
