Jackie Mardle MBACP, BACP Registered/Accredited. Relate trained Counsellor
Haywards Heath Counselling Centre
7 Hazelgrove Road
Are you suffering from anxiety, depression or relationship issues?
Are you looking for somebody to talk to who will help you to make sense of current difficulties? I offer a confidential, non judgemental space where we can explore and reflect on what has brought you to counselling.Together we can work towards understanding and resolving these issues.
I am an experienced therapist who has been working both in the private and NHS sector for the past 5 years.
I am also a Relate trained counsellor who has been working with couples and individuals for the past 12 years. I have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties including relationship problems, loss, addiction, depression and anxiety.
I have a particular interest in working with relationships, helping couples and individuals find new ways of understanding current difficulties and relating to each other.
I have recently completed training at The Tavistock Centre in London, working with couples who are experiencing depression, helping them to deal with stress, to think about self-care and create support networks and coping strategies.
"How counselling can help"
At certain times in our lives, we may all experience problems that mean we find it difficult to cope; we may experience feelings such as stress, anxiety and low mood which can become overwhelming and confusing. In this situation, it may be helpful to talk to a professional.
It can feel challenging to take this first step, but often people have reported feeling a sense of relief, moving forward feeling supported, rather than feeling stuck.
You may be looking to change the way you respond to certain situations and therefore change areas of your life that are not working well for you. I provide a personalised and flexible approach, which ensures I offer counselling based on your needs as an individual.
The counselling approach I offer involves exploring the past in order to be able to make sense of the problem and to understand your feelings and responses in the here and now; enabling you to make positive changes in the future.
"What to expect from your first session"
We will meet to talk about what has brought you to counselling. This is your opportunity to ask any questions that you may have and for us to agree together on the way forward.
Whether in the short term or over a longer period of time, we can explore why you are seeking counselling at this point in your life and what change is possible while supporting your well-being.
I welcome telephone enquiries where we can discuss any initial questions you may have.
