About me

Finding the right counsellor can feel daunting which is why I offer a friendly and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever issues you wish.

How Counselling Can Help

As a counsellor I will help you look at, and tackle, the issues that are truly affecting your life. Counselling can help build your self-knowledge, your self-esteem and improve your ability to face life's challenges. Everyone is different and has a different experience of the world, as a Person-Centred Counsellor I focus on how the world has affected you. There is no one correct way for a person to deal with their problems, therefore, in our sessions we will work together to find the best solutions for you.

My Services

I offer weekly 50 minute sessions at a standard rate of £40. Our work together can be either face to face or remote. My counselling room is located in the centre of Morley, with free parking directly opposite. For my remote sessions I use GoogleMeets.

Person-Centred Counselling

As a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor I believe that the expert in your life is you. I offer no advice or diagnosis. Instead, I carefully help you focus in on how you truly feel. By understanding your feelings you are able to make informed decisions about your life.

What Can Person-Centred Counselling Help With?

Person-Counselling can help you with a variety different issues, from depression and low self-esteem to abuse and anxiety. However, you may come to counselling not knowing why you feel the way you do, there may not be a specific problem, you may just know something feels wrong or off. Person-Centred Counselling can help make sense of these feelings. Please keep scrolling down to see the full range of topics I have experience working with.

How To Get In Contact

If you wish to get in contact with me please send a text or email asking for a free consultation to the details at the top of the page. Here we can discuss why you wish to take part in counselling and whether my services will fit your needs. My consultations are done either by phone or GoogleMeets. If you do not wish to have a consultation I am happy to email you any information you may require.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
