About me
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed and alone? We all experience difficult times in our lives – whether relating to family, life transitions, identity, loss, or trauma – and sometimes it may feel there’s no way out. This can leave us feeling isolated and fearful.
I offer a safe and confidential space where you can tell me about your experiences, thoughts and feelings, so that you feel heard and understood. Together we can explore the difficulties you’re experiencing and what may lie beneath.
I focus on building a trusting relationship so you feel safe to share whatever is troubling you without judgement. I work psychodynamically, which means we’ll explore how your current thoughts and feelings and behaviour are shaped by your past experiences and relationships. This can lead to greater insight, self-awareness and agency in your life.
I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council, the leading professional association for psychodynamic therapy, and I'm committed to the highest ethical standards. I see clients privately and for two charitable counselling services.
I work with adults of all ages, from many different backgrounds, offering both in-person and online therapy. I have experience of working with a range of issues, including: abuse, addictions, anxiety, bereavement, depression, family breakdown, health issues, identity, loss, men's issues, OCD, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, sex-related issues, stress, trauma, work-related issues.
I offer weekly sessions either face-to-face in central Taunton, or online if preferred. Please contact me by email to arrange an initial online discussion where we can explore the issues that bring you to counselling and see whether we can work together.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
