About me
Hi, I’m Bella!
I am a qualified BACP-registered psychotherapeutic counsellor and I specialise in working with young adults. I chose this path because during my own experience at this stage of life, I realised that there was a mental health crisis amongst the young, and I wanted to do something about it. I’m really aware of the pressures faced, including rapid societal changes, academic and career pressures, and the impact of social media. I understand the stress caused by this age of comparison and competitiveness amongst peers that contribute to feelings of inadequacy and anxiety.
I'm here to create a warm, compassionate, and inclusive space where you can feel safe sharing your whole self in a validating environment. I embrace the beauty of human diversity, and tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. I primarily work relationally, and I think the most important thing is that, at the core, we’re just two people meeting and connecting as humans.
As a humanistic therapist, I hold that we all possess the capacity to lead meaningful and satisfying lives, but sometimes we encounter difficult life experiences that cause us to become stuck along the way. I see my role as walking alongside you, guiding us to uncover potential blind spots that we can explore together. I believe collaborative positive change can be fostered with empathy and openness, rather than judgement or criticism.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have accumulated a substantial amount of professional experience and have worked with young adults in a diverse range of settings including Community Projects, Women’s Refuge Services, Trauma Services, and the NHS.
I am a registered member of BACP and a member of UKCP and abide by their code of ethics.
My work is fully insured and professionally supervised in accordance with their guidelines.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
