About me
Starting therapy can feel like a big decision, and finding the right support is essential. Having a safe, understanding space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace is vital. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change, and my priority in our initial sessions is to create a space where you feel heard, valued, and supported.
I am a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with extensive NHS experience in adult mental health settings providing support to individuals with a wide range of difficulties, including depression and anxiety-related conditions. Working within the NHS has given me a deep understanding of the challenges people face and how therapy can support them develop effective coping strategies that will lead to lasting change.
While CBT is my primary approach, I recognise that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor my sessions to each person's individual needs and integrate additional approaches where helpful. I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Systemic/Family Therapy techniques to help process trauma and explore relationship dynamics and intergenerational patterns.
I am committed to offering an inclusive, affirming practice for all individuals as I understand that our identities and life experiences shape our mental health, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood.
How I Can Help
Life can present us with overwhelming challenges, and sometimes, our usual ways of coping no longer seem to work. I help clients navigate a variety of difficulties, including:
✔ Overcoming stress, burnout, anxiety, and depression – If you’re feeling exhausted, stuck, or overwhelmed by constant worry, we can work on strategies to help you regain balance and clarity.
✔ Healing from trauma and distressing experiences – Whether you’ve experienced childhood trauma, PTSD, or recent distressing events, we can explore ways to process and heal through a combination of CBT and EMDR.
✔ Breaking unhelpful life patterns – If you find yourself repeating behaviours that hold you back, we will identify these patterns and develop new, healthier ways of thinking and acting.
✔ Developing resilience and learning to cope with difficult emotions – I support clients in strengthening their ability to sit with and process difficult feelings rather than feeling controlled by them.
✔ Setting healthy boundaries – If saying “no” feels impossible or guilt-inducing, we can work on assertiveness skills to help you protect your emotional well-being.
✔ Understanding relationship and family dynamics – If you struggle with unhealthy relationship patterns that were passed down in your family or later developed due to the impact of negative experiences, we can explore ways to shift them into more positive, fulfilling connections.
✔ Breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma – Systemic therapy techniques can help address deep-seated emotional patterns passed down through families.
✔ Connecting with your inner self and values – If you feel disconnected from yourself or are struggling with a life transition, therapy can offer clarity and deeper self-awareness.
My Approach
Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and my goal is to make each session feel relevant and meaningful to you. While CBT provides a structured approach to understanding thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, I adapt each session to suit your personal experiences and goals. By integrating EMDR and systemic therapy principles, we can work beyond cognitive processes and explore how past experiences and relationship dynamics shape your present.

Further information
The first few sessions serve as an opportunity for you to see if I’m the right therapist for you and to decide whether you’d like to work together on a short-term basis or in an open-ended way.
In our first session, we will also go over the therapeutic contract, which outlines key boundaries to ensure a safe and supportive space for you.
I offer a sliding scale structure where sessions can be either short-term and goal-focused or open-ended, depending on your needs.
