About me
Hi. I'm Holly and I'm a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor. I work with adults, children and adolescents.
Thanks for taking the time to consider my profile. I understand how daunting it can be to take that first step into the counselling room and that finding a counsellor that feels right for you can be hard. I will offer you a safe, non-judgmental space to explore whatever it is that brings you to counselling. I value everyone as a unique individual. Therefore I work with different psychotherapeutic methods and adapt my practice to meet your individual needs.
The relationship between the client and counsellor is key to the therapeutic process and counselling isn't all about talking. Sometimes things can be difficult to put into words and using creative methods can help us to explore our feelings in a safer, more contained way. This is something we can explore together if you feel comfortable.
I currently offer face-to-face sessions in Stowmarket. I also offer telephone and online sessions.
If you would like to book a free 20 minute introductory phonecall to discuss what you are looking for from counselling, and to get a feel for whether I may be the right counsellor for you, please feel free to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Chrysalis 2017)
- Advanced Certificate in Working Ethically with Young People (Life Force 2022)
- Developmental Trauma for Professionals (Beacon House 2023)
My background is varied and I worked with children, adolescents and adults in various settings including schools, residential care and youth work for many years, before deciding to train as a counsellor. I have worked for a youth based charity for 6 years.
I feel that my own life experience and the skills gained from these work experiences shaped me and gave me the drive and passion to want to support people with their own therapeutic journeys.
