About me
Do you feel sad, anxious or maybe stuck in some area of your life? Do you wish to feel more at ease in your emotions and your relationships? I am here for you. I’m Henry, I’m a fully qualified counsellor with a BSc in Humanistic Counselling. I am passionate about this approach and believe in its power to help clients to reach their full potential.
My background initially has been in the music industry, and I hold creativity, attunement and sensitivity in my work to be of great importance, not only in my musical life, but in the therapy room with my clients. I believe these gifts can support clients in being able to find their own resonance in themselves. I help you develop this inner connection to yourself so that you can lead a more fulfilling, authentic life.
I have experience working with anxiety, depression, abuse, adverse childhood experiences, bereavement and relationship difficulties. I use my Humanistic approach to tailor the therapy to your individual needs. I work relationally with you in the room and will provide a gentle empathic presence in order that you can be seen and heard.
How can counselling help you?
I aim to work with all parts of you, some parts that may not have been heard since you were a child that are painful and neglected. Often as adults we are still stuck in these ways of behaving that cause us suffering. I will help you through these difficult times so that you can regain your self-agency, and to empower yourself to become a more happy authentic individual. Counselling will help you develop a deeper connection to yourself, vastly improving your quality of life and your relationships.
What to expect in your first session?
We will begin by having a free 15-30 minute consultation via telephone to check in with each other, see what your needs are, and to ask me any questions relating to my practice.
If you're happy we will then arrange to meet up for our preliminary assessment session either face - to - face or online. This builds on topics discussed in the consultation and is more in depth to assess your needs to see if we would be a good fit together.
If you feel comfortable you may then decide to continue therapy with me and will book you in for subsequent sessions either long-term or short-term work depending on your needs.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
