About me
You might be feeling anxious, low, or just not quite like yourself. On the surface you’re managing, but underneath things can feel heavy, confusing, or exhausting. Sometimes there’s a clear reason — and sometimes there isn’t. Either way, it’s a lot to hold alone.
I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly and make sense of what’s going on, at your own pace.
I have experience supporting people with:
Anxiety, overthinking, and worry
Low mood or feeling flat
Trauma and difficult past experiences
Relationship difficulties
Self-esteem and confidence
Identity questions
Life transitions and feeling stuck
Taking the first step can feel like a lot, especially if you’re unsure what to expect. I offer a free 15‑minute phone consultation so we can have an initial chat and see if working together feels right for you — no pressure.
How I work; I’m an integrative counsellor (MBACP), which means I draw on different approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. In practice, this might include:
Gently exploring past experiences where they feel relevant
Understanding what’s happening for you in the present
Thinking together about what feels meaningful and important in your life
Therapy with me isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all. Some sessions might feel like a space to offload; others may be more reflective or focused — we’ll find what works for you. Above all, the relationship we build is key. I work with warmth, honesty, and curiosity, and I’ll always move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
A little about me: Having been in the social care sector for over 25 years, I came into counselling because of a genuine interest in other people’s stories and what helps us heal, grow, and make sense of our experience. Alongside my training, I also bring some familial understanding of how tough life can feel at times, including experiences around addiction and suicidal thoughts. I share this gently because I know how important it can be to feel truly understood. My aim is to offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can be yourself, talk openly, and feel supported at a pace that feels right for you.
