About me

Supportive, inclusive counselling for neurodivergent minds. My approach is gentle, affirming and tailored to you as an individual. I understand what it's like to navigate the world differently and bring this understanding into our work together. I offer person centred therapy to diagnosed or undiagnosed clients and caregivers. I understand that traditional therapy spaces don't always feel accessible or safe, so I aim to work with you in a way that feels comfortable and open for you, whether remotely, walk and talk, yurt based or in my therapy room.

Whether you’re exploring your identity, managing burnout, or just want someone who gets it – you’re welcome here, just as you are.

You might be navigating things like:

  • Feeling overwhelmed, burnt out from masking or trying to fit in
  • Sensory overload or shutdowns that others don’t seem to understand
  • Social anxiety, rejection sensitivity or struggles with relationships
  • Constant overthinking, hyper focus or difficulty switching off
  • Feeling like you’re too much or not enough
  • Navigating self identification, or identity questions – this might be because you don’t have a formal diagnosis or that’s it a late diagnosis.
  • Emotional dysregulation or difficulty naming and processing feelings
  • Living with neurodivergence in a world that often doesn’t make space for you can feel exhausting, confusing and lonely. You maybe know something’s wrong, but not exactly sure what.

Together we can work on:

  • Understanding your neurodivergent identity and experiences
  • Manage overwhelm, anxiety, or shutdowns
  • Building self-trust and reducing internalised shame
  • Finding ways to work with your brain, not against it
  • Processing past experiences of being misunderstood, rejected, or dismissed
  • Creating strategies that support your day-to-day life

I also offer sessions to caregivers supporting the emotional, psychological, and physical wellbeing demands to create a shared space to process these challenges, find balance and strengthen resilience.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Key details

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

My practice room has full accessibility but please note that if eco therapy option, there is a little walk down to my yurt and some slight uneven ground.
