About me
Hello, thank you for stopping at my profile.
I'm a qualified Therapist, with a special interest in Neurodiversity, recovery from trauma, difficulties at work, and working through loss, which comes in many different forms.
I have an office in Banbury and offer online work.
My passion throughout my life has been to support others, to find ways to maximize the precious life we have all been given.
This can be a challenging and vulnerable process, but my aim is to stand alongside you, and support you on your journey.
There are acknowledged benefits to Therapy:
- It can help you identify what is bothering you
- Sessions offer a safe space in which to explore difficult feelings
- It enhances your overall wellbeing and your relationships
- It builds self awareness and enhances your confidence in yourself as you navigate life's challenges.
I also want to mention, that I am a white, middle aged woman; as you can see from my profile picture. Whilst this may shape your judgement of me, I assure you that I am committed to working in a diverse and open way; where all aspects of your self are welcome.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor (MBACP), with an MSc in both Counselling and Psychotherapy, and Business Psychology.
I have been working in mental health and well-being for several decades. My career began with my local Hospice, in general nursing care. From here, I then went on to train as an Occupational Therapist, specialising in working with older people, and rehabilitation from accident and illness.
I have also had a successful career as a Professional Fundraiser and senior Leader in the Charity Sector and have worked abroad in Japan, and Ghana, in a training capacity.
My practice is holistic and inclusive, with all being welcome; however, I do have special areas of interest which include: relationship issues, neurodiversity, women, hormonal influences, medical difficulties and work-related issues.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

As a member of both the BACP ( British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and UKCP ( United Kingdom of Counselling and Psychotherapy), I adhere to their guidelines and conditions of ethical practice.
