About me
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when things have felt overwhelming or difficult for a while. I aim to offer a calm, collaborative space where you can properly explore what’s going on, while also working towards meaningful change. I am a BABCP accredited CBT therapist and IPT practitioner, offering online and face-to-face therapy on the Wirral. I work with anxiety, low mood, overthinking and interpersonal or relationship difficulties.
Alongside practical therapeutic strategies, I value creating space for deeper emotional understanding - looking at patterns, relationships and the way we make sense of our experiences.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified CBT Therapist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling, a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT), and specialist training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). I am also BABCP accredited.
With over 13 years of experience working within mental health services, including NHS and private practice settings, I have supported individuals experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and interpersonal relationship difficulties.
My approach is warm, compassionate and collaborative, integrating evidence-based CBT and IPT approaches to help clients better understand their experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
