About me
Are you looking for a psychotherapist in Edinburgh or online because life appears manageable on the outside but does not feel that way inside?
You may be coping at work, in relationships and in daily life while privately feeling anxious, low, disconnected or unsure of your direction. Perhaps you carry considerable responsibility, feel emotionally exhausted, or keep repeating patterns that no longer work. Therapy can provide space to understand what is happening and begin making meaningful change.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and bereavement, addiction and recovery, trauma, low self-esteem, burnout and significant life transitions. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or a clear explanation. Some clients simply know they feel stuck and want to understand themselves, their relationships or their reactions more deeply.
I offer in-person psychotherapy at Edinburgh Therapy Centre in Leith, Edinburgh, and online therapy across the UK. Online sessions can suit people who travel, work demanding hours or prefer the privacy and convenience of meeting from home.
As a UKCP-registered integrative psychotherapist, I do not use one fixed model. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative and relational, drawing on different therapeutic perspectives according to your needs, goals and pace. We might explore earlier experiences and recurring patterns, pay attention to what is happening in the present, or focus on practical ways to manage anxiety and approach current difficulties differently.
The aim is not to analyse or label you. It is to create a steady, confidential relationship in which you can speak openly, make sense of difficult experiences and develop greater choice in how you respond. Over time, clients often describe feeling calmer, clearer and better able to navigate relationships, decisions and everyday pressures.
Choosing the right therapist matters. I offer a paid, one-off initial consultation so that we can explore what brings you to therapy and whether we feel comfortable working together. If we continue, we will agree a regular time, pace and focus, reviewing the work as it develops.
I trained at master’s level at the Metanoia Institute, graduating with distinction, and have experience in private practice, community services and specialist addiction treatment, including Castle Craig Hospital.
You are welcome to email me or visit my website for further information about how I work, current availability and fees.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
