About me
Are you exhausted with life as it looks now and desperate for a change? Feel like you're drowning? Perhaps you've lost all sense of who you are anymore. There's nothing wrong with you, but I know that it can feel like there is. You're already taking steps to find support by looking for a counsellor.
Sessions with me balance in-depth, deep conversation with more light-hearted bonding so that you're never overwhelmed. I work hard to understand your inner world, without any judgement, so that together we can learn what resistance you're facing to reaching your goals, and where that's coming from.
You may not even be entirely sure what the problem is, only that you want something to change. That is a perfectly good place to start. Change does not happen in isolation, and often my clients have come to focus on one area of their lives but found that many other parts are connected, and the impact of counselling is more far reaching than they had imagined.
My clients have expressed to me that they have started to feel more purposeful, lighter, more joyful, more authentic... If this sounds like your goals, let's start a conversation that goes at your pace and focuses on you for once.
Training, qualifications & experience
CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Integrative Counselling is simply counselling which can be adapted to suit you as an individual rather than a one size fits all approach. 'Integrative' just means I'm trained in multiple approaches that I use together in a client-centred way. I've studied 'person-centred', 'psychodynamic', 'cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)' and 'transactional analysis' so I can lean into one or more of these as I get to know you and what will support your needs.
I've worked with a variety of themes, both online and in person, such as anxiety, panic attacks, grief and loss, stress and burnout, workplace issues, family dynamics, LGBTQ+ experiences, body image, OCD, neurodivergent experiences, and more...
I currently offer online counselling to adults anywhere in the UK and in person sessions in Bromsgrove.

Further information
Online sessions can be held from any private, quiet space where you feel safe and relaxed. In person sessions are held at St John's Counselling rooms, off the high street in Bromsgrove, Worcs. These are warm, neutral spaces where we can talk safely.
I am an advocate for living as your most authentic self, as much of the time as possible, in order to feel fulfilled and purposeful in your life. This may look totally different to lives other people lead, and that is okay. Learning not to compare yourself and your journey with others is important, and I'm here to support you with that. So if you have an inner world that you haven't been able to share with anyone yet, now is the time- you will find only positivity and empathy here.
I welcome questions, especially if you are the sort of person that likes to know exactly what to expect, so please get in touch and I'll take you step by step through the process of starting counselling. There is also more information on my website: hannahpurdiecounselling.co.uk
