About me

Are you feeling anxious, low or depressed? Perhaps you feel stuck or overwhelmed and unsure where to turn.

Sometimes we all need someone to talk to, to share our thoughts and feelings with, without fear of judgement. Counselling can be really helpful with this but finding the right counsellor can feel daunting. I understand how much courage it takes to reach out for help.

I'm Hannah, a trauma informed, person-centred, integrative counsellor. I support clients with a range of issues and bring insight from lived experience of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety, perfectionism, caring responsibilities, chronic illness, disability, suicide, grief, neurodivergence and adoption. This helps me provide accessible, empathetic support to everyone.

I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is key to growth and change. I offer a warm, empathetic and safe space where you can talk openly, free from judgement. We'll work collaboratively at your pace, helping you gain clarity, understand yourself more deeply, and make meaningful changes. I work flexibly, to suit your needs and offer both short and long-term work. My aim is to meet the needs of my clients where they are and not impose my own solutions on them.

I offer telephone and online sessions across the UK and in-person sessions to adults in North Somerset/South Gloucestershire/Bristol.

For in-person sessions, I work from accessible rooms in Clevedon, Portishead and Filton. Rooms in Portishead and Filton are dedicated counselling rooms.

Online sessions are held on Google Meet.

Whichever format you choose, we will work together to build a relationship that feels safe enough to talk about things that may be daunting or uncomfortable. We will meet weekly or fortnightly and sessions last for 50 minutes. Sometimes a few weeks are enough, sometimes it can take longer. We will review our work together regularly to ensure you are getting what you need from our time together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
