About me

Hi, I’m Guy, an Integrative Psychotherapist specialising in Relational Developmental Trauma and Neurodiversity
I help people understand and heal the deep emotional wounds that come from difficult, unpredictable or neglectful early relationships, so they can feel calmer, more confident, and more connected to themselves and others.

My work is grounded in the understanding that we develop — and heal — through relationship. Many of the patterns we find ourselves repeating today began as adaptive strategies that once kept us safe. In therapy, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you reconnect with your innate capacity for trust, autonomy, and connection.

Who I Work With

Most of my clients come to me after growing up in emotionally unpredictable, invalidating, or neglectful families — often with narcissistic or borderline parents.

This early environment can lead to:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Low self-worth and self-criticism
  • People-pleasing or boundary difficulties
  • Chronic shame or emotional emptiness
  • Relationship struggles and fear of rejection

You don’t have to stay trapped in these patterns. Together we can make sense of where they came from and find new, healthier ways of being.

How I Work

At the start of therapy, I often use a psychoeducational approach — helping you understand relational needs, adaptive strategies, and the body's nervous system responses (polyvagal theory).

As trust builds, we’ll move towards inquiry, insight, and experiential work — such as empty chair dialogues — to help resolve inner conflicts and integrate hidden parts of the self.

My focus is on helping you:

  • Develop a stronger, more compassionate sense of self
  • Develop emotional awareness and regulation
  • Set and maintain healthy boundaries
  • Build healthier, more fulfilling relationships
  • Move from survival to meaningful connection

My Approach & Beliefs

I believe that healing begins with hope — hope that change is possible. Hope opens the way to trust, and through trust we rediscover meaning, purpose, and belonging.

Life can feel unbearable at times, like a wordless agony — trapped behind glass, sinking inside yourself or holding yourself together terrified of annihilation.
Therapy offers an opportunity to truly feel seen, felt, and understood.

Next Steps

Choosing a therapist is deeply personal.
If my words and approach resonate, trust your instinct.
Perhaps it is time for something new.
