About me

I offer a safe, supportive, confidential and professional counselling service working primarily on a one to one basis. I am situated in Brighouse town centre, which offers convenient hassle free parking and excellent transport links. My ground floor consultation room offers a welcoming, private space in which to build our therapeutic relationship. If travelling is of concern home visits can be arranged by mutual convenience.

Until recently i practiced in South Bradford Health Centres where I gained valuable experience in helping clients overcome their Psychological Distress although overcoming may not always be the aim, rather reconciliation.

As a qualified Person-Centred counsellor I place great emphasis on the client-counsellor relationship. I also integrate the Relational model into my practice whereby the client and I work collaboratively to forge a strong, uplifting and secure alliance that serves as a model for future relationships.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
