About me

Everyone deserves a space where they can talk openly, feel heard and accepted as they are.

I’m Georgia, a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor. Everyone experiences life differently, which is why I adapt my approach to each individual. I take time to understand who you are, what matters to you and what you need from therapy.

I am a counsellor because I am genuinely curious about people and their stories. Our life experiences shape us, and taking the time to explore these experiences can help us better understand ourselves and the patterns that influence how we live, relate to others, and make sense of the world. Self-awareness allows us to make clearer choices for our way forward.

I have experience working in both private practice and voluntary counselling settings, supporting clients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, abuse, relationship difficulties, loneliness, bereavement, and loss. I have previous experience working within the NHS, which gives me an understanding of NHS culture as well as a wealth of experience supporting people during some of the most challenging times in their lives.

To help you feel confident in taking the first step, I invite you to come and meet me, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. I offer a free 15-minute phone call as well as a discounted first session at £30. There is no pressure or obligation to continue if it doesn't feel like the right fit. I fully support you in finding a therapist who does.

I offer weekly 60-minute sessions either in person, online via Zoom, or by telephone. Sessions can be short-term or longer-term depending on what feels most helpful for you. In-person sessions take place from my home in a private, dedicated counselling room, providing a comfortable and confidential space for our work together. There is ample off-road parking available for clients.

I am fully insured and work in accordance with the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
