About me
You might have spent years adapting yourself to cope… softening your reactions, hiding your needs, or reducing parts of yourself to get through difficult situations. These strategies may once have helped you survive. Now they can leave you unsure of who you are or what you need. Therapy can be a place to gently explore what it’s like to take up space again.
My approach is grounded in empathy, steadiness, and genuine human connection. I don’t rush you toward answers or expect you to explain everything perfectly. Instead, I offer a calm, supportive space where you can explore whatever feels confusing, painful, or unresolved at your own pace.
I work with a wide range of experiences, including trauma, neurodivergence, identity struggles, and grief. For many neurodivergent people, and for people who’ve lived through trauma, over‑adapting or holding yourself in can become a survival strategy… one that can be exhausting and isolating. I hold space for the parts of you that have been hidden or softened just to get through the day.
I support the way you naturally process. For some people, talking is the main part of therapy. For others, creativity, silence, writing, music, or sensory materials help express things that feel difficult to put into words. We can shape our work together in whatever way supports you best.
My aim is to meet you as you are… without pressure and without judgement.
Training, qualifications & experience
My background is mainly in educational support in colleges and universities, before this I worked in social care. I have over 17 years of experience working in supportive roles, walking alongside people through many different challenges.
I am registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and hold a MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Recently, I have completed a Online Telephone Counselling course which means I am certified in working online and by phone.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I understand that reaching out can feel like a big step, and that finding the right therapist matters. If you’d like to talk things through and see whether we might be a good fit, you’re welcome to get in touch. I’m happy to offer a free 15‑minute chat, either online or by phone.
If you decide you’d like to begin therapy with me, we can arrange a session. Sessions are up to an hour long and cost £50. I also keep a small number of reduced‑fee spaces for students and people on lower incomes (£35). If that would make therapy more accessible for you, please feel free to mention it and we can talk it through.

Further information
I offer in‑person, online and telephone sessions through Willow Path Counselling and Psychotherapy. Online sessions are available throughout the UK. The therapy room I work from is a short walk from Glasgow Central Station and has a calm, cosy atmosphere. I have items such as fidget tools, toys and art materials available, as these can sometimes help the process of therapy.
On Wednesdays, I work from a welcoming therapy room in Finnieston next to Kelvingrove Park
