About me
- In-person therapy sessions available in Pontefract
- Offering Couples/Relationship Therapy and Individual Therapy
- Guaranteed response to enquiries within 24 hours
I’m a BACP Senior Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience, offering warm, down-to-earth counselling for adults. I work in a flexible and client-centred way, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit each individual. This means I tailor therapy to you, rather than fitting you into a fixed method.
I specialise in working with:
Adult ADHD, Autism and other neurodivergent experiences (including self-diagnosis)
LGBTQIA+ clients, including transgender and non-binary individuals, Couples/Relationships- including polyamorous, bereavement and grief, binge eating, emotional eating and body image, anxiety and depression
My approach is rooted in compassion and collaboration. I aim to help clients build self-understanding, self-compassion and a sense of empowerment. I'm especially skilled at sitting with people in emotional pain, helping them gently make sense of what they’re going through, and moving at a pace that feels right for them.
I have also completed training in Couples/Relationship therapy and am offering a free 15 minute Discovery call to see if Couples therapy is right for you.
I’m also a qualified Clinical Supervisor, offering supportive and reflective supervision for counsellors/psychotherapists and other mental health professionals.
Alongside private practice, I work as an affiliate counsellor for several EAPs, providing short-term, solution-focused counselling for workplace-related issues.
My background includes working at a women’s centre delivering time-limited IAPT therapy for complex trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other mental health issues such as depression, stress, eating disorders, addiction and chronic pain.
I also spent 7 years at the University of Leeds as a Specialist Mentor within Disability Services, supporting students with mental health diagnoses and long-term conditions. This work involved building developmental, therapeutic relationships and offering tailored support across different areas of students’ lives.
Your first session
All potential clients are offered an initial clinical assessment, where we’ll explore what’s brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions and we’ll discuss together whether I’m the right therapist for you and how we might work together.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
