About me

You may be finding that something in your life no longer feels quite right, even if you cannot easily explain why. Perhaps you feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected or stuck in patterns that keep repeating. You may be carrying the impact of past experiences, struggling in your relationships or questioning who you are and what you want. Whatever has brought you here, therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing and begin to understand yourself more fully.

I am a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist. I offer a space where we can explore what is happening beneath the surface: the beliefs you have developed about yourself, the ways you have learned to cope and the patterns shaping your relationships, choices and sense of self.

My approach is relational, which means that the relationship between us matters. I will not sit silently or offer generic advice. I work with warmth, honesty and curiosity, helping you make sense of your experience.

Alongside talking therapy, I draw on embodied and experiential approaches, including Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor psychotherapy. Sometimes we understand intellectually why we feel or behave as we do, but that insight alone has not created change. Paying attention to emotions, the body and what is happening in the room can help us reach experiences that are difficult to access through words alone.

My background spans psychotherapy, science and education. Before becoming a therapist, I worked for many years in education and leadership. I now combine private practice with training future counsellors.

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship problems, grief, life transitions, work-related stress and a sense of feeling lost or stuck. You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong. We can begin with what you are noticing and work from there.

I offer in-person sessions as well as online sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to being a BACP registered therapist, I am an ICF trained Coach, offering both life and executive coaching. I understand the challenges that individuals face in both personal and professional contexts. I am passionate about supporting individuals to find meaning and purpose in their lives. Working alongside you, I can support you to cultivate a greater sense of connection to yourself and others.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
