Francesca Amor NCS accred. Counsellor
174 Peverel Road
I am here to help make your life better, you chose what to work on, we work together to get you there.
I'm a fully accredited counsellor based in Cambridge. I work with people from all walks of life, regardless of sexuality, sexual orientation, gender, culture, race, age or religion.
I’m non-judgemental, empathetic and approachable (but don't take my word for it - see the testimonials on my website). My 'integrative' approach means I’m trained in all major therapies and blend them to best suit your individual needs.
I am bilingual, I speak fluent English and Italian.
If you like to contact me, this is how I work. The first appointment is usually an assessement, to understand if I can help you with your issues and if we can work together. During the assessement I will explain how counselling works and we will discuss what kind of therapy will be the more appropriate, long or short term.
We will discuss how many times we are going to meet and when, ideally the same day and time every week. I can be flexible if you work on shifts. I will review with your where we are every 6 sessions or when necessary.
We will sign an agreement, that establishes my commitment to you as a counsellor and yours as a client. I have a Professional Civil Liability insurance.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained in Cambridge and I am a level 6 counsellor working with adults, individuals and couples.
I have been working as a counsellor for 4 years now. Counselling for me is a vocational choice. It has helped me in the past in difficult moments of my life and I would like to help other people to learn how to enjoy life and learn how to unlock their potential.
I have advanced training in couples counselling and work at Relate. I’m also a volunteer bereavement counsellor with Cruse and I am trained in sexual abuse in childhood with Choices.
I have experience working with depression, low moods, stress and anxiety, self-motivation and more. I help people gaining confidence for inteviews, exams and helping them achieve their goals in life.
I offer short or long term counselling
