About me
I provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and feel more in control of your life and relationships. My core training and belief is person-centred and I have evolved over the years in working more integrative to create a deeper holistic approach suited to your needs. I offer face to face sessions, online, telephone and occasional home visits.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified person centred counsellor/psychotherapist, who is a registered & accredited member of the BACP. Over the past 11 years, in addition to my private practice, I have experience working in various settings including charities, schools and a hospice. I support children from the age of 7, young people, adults & the elderly. I hold an up to date enhanced DBS check & continue to engage in up to date safeguarding level 3, CPD and supervision. I am also a member of the I.C.O.
I specialise in working with Trauma, anxiety, depression, grief or loss, family issues including cultural and religious beliefs, abuse, ADHD, autism/neurodiversity, low self-esteem, LGBTQ+ and more.
I am passionate about working creatively not only through speaking therapy. The outdoors, animals, art & writing are all powerful tools.
From time to time we can lose our self-confidence & we have no idea why we feel this way. We can feel like our emotions & thoughts are taking over our whole existence, however large or small they may seem. Some of our experiences can erupt & impact our daily lives in unforeseen ways and I will work alongside you calmly to explore your thoughts & feelings. This can help you to:
- Make sense of your past/understand yourself more
- Feel less anxious
- Begin to value/like yourself
- Feel understood & heard
- Live more in the moment
- Acceptance
Your initial session is a space for us to discuss and explore how we feel about beginning therapy together. It's natural to feel more comfortable with some people than others. We’ll focus on getting a better sense of this and the areas you’d like to work on. I’ll explain more about how I work and our working agreement/contract.
Feel free to reach out for an initial enquiry either by phone, text or email.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
