About me
I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy to adults online and in-person in Bristol, UK. Bringing a compassionate approach to my practice I am dedicated to creating a space where you feel welcome, and your experiences are seen and valued.
My approach is relational and integrative, drawing on a range of models and theories according to your unique needs. Underpinning my work is a belief that when we feel a sense of safety and trust in our connections with others, it allows us to find a greater sense of trust, ease and wellbeing within ourselves.
I have a particular interest in how our early life experiences shape who we are today and apply an understanding of the impact of trauma in my work.
Where our experiences are viewed through a lens that recognises the effects of trauma and adverse experiences many of the difficulties we face in our day to day life and in our relationships can begin to make sense. Gaining an understanding of this can lead to a greater sense of acceptance which can enhance your sense of wellbeing.
You may feel clear about what you would like to work on or have a sense that you need someone to listen and be alongside you as you explore your experiences and difficulties. I will work collaboratively with you to create a sense of safety and trust that supports your exploration, growth and healing. This can take time and I aim to work with you to find a pace that feels right.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Registered Member of the BACP and hold a Masters (Level 7) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have experience working with a broad range of issues and look forward to exploring how we might work together.
My background includes working with people with a range of needs and experiences, with a particular focus on working with people who experienced trauma. I am committed to fostering growth and have a deeply held belief that we all have the capacity to navigate the challenges and difficulties that hold us back and cause us pain and suffering.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
