About me
Hello, my name is Fleur and I am an accredited psychodynamic counsellor, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the BACP's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. My core training was accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
You have your own story
The way you see your life, your relationships, your struggles—these are shaped by your own experiences, and they matter deeply. You may already have words for your suffering, or a diagnosis, or you may feel unsure of how to describe what you're going through. However you understand yourself, that’s a meaningful place to begin.
If you choose to begin therapy, we would start wherever you are. You are invited to speak freely, to follow your thoughts wherever they lead, in a space that is held with care, free of judgement or expectation.
As a psychodynamically informed counsellor, I offer a quiet, thoughtful environment where we can begin to listen together to what lies beneath the surface. Often, as we speak, we begin to uncover questions of identity and relationship—how you see yourself in relation to others, both now and in the past, and perhaps how you would like things to change in the future.
Over time, this work can open up new ways of seeing. What once felt fixed or immovable may begin to shift. In understanding more about what is causing you to suffer, you may also begin to feel more choice, more space, and a greater sense of freedom.
This can be a deeply transformative process. Released from restrictive narratives, many people discover new interests, or reconnect with long-forgotten aspects of themselves. Life may begin to feel more meaningful—and more your own.
If any of this resonates with you, I would gently invite you to reach out for an initial consultation. You don’t have to have it all worked out—you just need a starting point.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified and experienced psychodynamic counsellor. My training is accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), and I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Before establishing my private practice, I worked at Gloucestershire Counselling Service (GCS), where I supported adults navigating a wide range of emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, anger, loneliness, stress, and relational difficulties. I remain actively involved with GCS’s training and assessment teams, which ensures that my practice remains rooted in the latest theoretical developments and informed by ongoing professional learning.
Currently, I am engaged in further analytic training, including a two-year infant observation. I have a particular interest in how our early, often preverbal experiences with primary carers shape our understanding of the world, our relationships, and our sense of self. These early influences can have a profound effect on how we navigate our lives as adults, and I bring this understanding into my work with clients, where appropriate.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant and sometimes uncertain step. It’s not unusual to feel hesitant, particularly if this is your first experience of counselling. Reaching out takes courage, and it’s entirely natural to have questions or mixed feelings about getting started.
The first step is a brief telephone conversation to arrange an initial consultation. This initial meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other a little, to explore what has brought you to seek support at this time, and to think together about what you might be hoping for from the work.
I offer both open-ended and fixed-term therapy, and together, we will discuss and agree on the most appropriate approach for you at the outset of our work together. The nature of the therapeutic relationship will evolve in response to your needs and the unfolding of your own story.
If we decide to continue, we would meet for regular 50-minute sessions, once a week, at the same time each week. The consistency of this structure provides a reliable, containing space in which the work can unfold over time.
If it becomes clear during the assessment that another approach or practitioner might be a better fit, I will support you in finding a more suitable direction and offer a referral where possible.
My fee is £60 per 50-minute session, including the initial consultation.
