About me
I am an integrative psychotherapist (MSc) experienced in seeing people with a wide range of difficulties, including bereavement, trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and family issues. I offer brief and long-term therapy, either in person in Market Bosworth or online anywhere in the UK.
I offer a compassionate and confidential space to talk freely without your struggles being minimised or judged. You might be going through a time of loss or change, or suffer from a persistent feeling of dissatisfaction. You might yearn for happiness and rewarding relationships but get stuck in unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling or behaving. These can become so ingrained that they feel impossible to alter. By exploring together what lies behind these old habits it's possible to release their hold and achieve enduring change.
We will work together to decide what you'd like to get out of therapy; you might have specific goals or simply want some relief from distress. I'll provide an understanding and reflective space and be led by you regarding the pace and content of your explorations. When it's appropriate, I will use my skills to gently challenge you or suggest different ways of looking at things.
Through this therapeutic process you can come to better understand yourself and to respond to others with choice and spontaneity. This can be the road to recapture, or perhaps experience for the first time, contentment and meaning in your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Masters (Distinction) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Warwick.
I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and abide by its ethical guidelines. I have personal indemnity insurance and enhanced DBS clearance.
I believe that being human means we are bound to struggle with the uncertainty and challenges of life but that we can find purpose in our connections with others and the natural world. I have a special interest in the healing qualities of animals and during my training undertook research into how contact with horses might comfort the bereaved.
My approach is integrative and relational, rooted in a humanistic respect for each of us as unique individuals and drawing on developmental influences from the past and how they impact us in the here-and-now.
I offer a calm and private space with free parking in Market Bosworth. Alternatively, we can meet online. If you'd like to talk about what you need, please email me and we can arrange a free 20 minute phone call, without commitment, to discuss things further.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
