Fiona Paul, UKCP Registered Psychotherapist
I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience. I am based in Oundle.
I have a Master's Degree (MA) in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling. My original training was in couple counselling and the understanding of relationship dynamics informs my current work.
I offer both short and longer term counselling and psychotherapy.
My work is based on a relational-developmental model of integration. This means I believe very strongly in the healing power of the relationship between therapist and client. Also, that the problems which impact our lives often have their roots in the past. It is through being in a safe, contained therapeutic relationship that integration of past difficulties can occur.
I use this approach to work with a variety of problems. The first session is a joint venture helping you see if you'd like to work with me and for me to assess whether I have the right skills to work with you.
Because of my other professional commitments training counsellors I only work in private practice on one day a week (Tuesday).
