About me
Welcome to my profile, I want to explain first, that I feel it’s important you receive a very genuine, honest and trustworthy experience from therapy sessions. It can take time to find a counsellor that works or fits for you. I understand that!
As an integrative counsellor with experience working in primary healthcare and mental health settings, I have an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of issues that individuals can face in their life. Including supporting those who may be struggling with their mental health, have low mood, anxiety difficulties, depression, isolation, stress, relationship and family issues, addictions, health related issues, bereavement, grief, loss and trauma.
I provide a confidential and informal space for you to talk about any life events, both past and present. Helping you to unravel any difficult emotions or thinking and behaviour patterns that are not benefiting you. Offering you a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship where you can feel heard and understood at a pace that is right for you.
Each session will be either online via Zoom or telephone and 50-60 minutes duration.
The first appointment will be a free 30 minute telephone consultation to provide you with the opportunity to see whether you think counselling could be for you, and to ask any questions you may have. I will also ask you to provide me with a little bit of background information about yourself. If we both feel that I am the right therapist for you then an appointment can be arranged. Please email me or message me to request a first initial appointment.
I also offer some outdoor, walk and talk therapy sessions. Please make contact to discuss.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
