About me

Finding the right counsellor can feel like an important first step, and I believe that having a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space is at the heart of meaningful therapeutic work.

As an integrative counsellor, I tailor therapy to each individual, recognising that no two people experience life's challenges in the same way. By drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, I work collaboratively with clients to better understand their experiences, develop greater self-awareness, and find practical ways to move forward.

I work with adults experiencing a wide variety of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, stress, self-esteem, life transitions and emotional wellbeing. Much of my experience has been supporting individuals navigating childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, and those managing ADHD and autism.

I understand that opening up isn't always easy. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or have a general sense that something doesn't feel quite right, therapy offers the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My approach is warm, compassionate and collaborative, balancing reflection with practical support to help you make sense of your experiences and work towards the changes that matter to you.

My aim is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you, helping you build insight, resilience and confidence in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.

If you're considering counselling and would like to explore whether we're a good fit, I'd be pleased to hear from you. I offer a free 20-minute consultation to discuss your needs and ensure you feel comfortable working with me. Finding the right counsellor is an important first step.

I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with their ethical framework.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
