About me

Anxiety, painful memories or relationship difficulties can affect your sleep, confidence and daily life. Perhaps you feel exhausted from keeping up with work and other responsibilities. I offer a space to talk openly, understand your difficulties and work towards changes you want.

I am Fatma Bozkurt, a BABCP-accredited CBT Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Trainer with over 20 years of experience across NHS services and private practice. I now work in private practice through Synara Therapy & Training, supporting individuals and couples with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, burnout and relationship difficulties. My specialist interests include PTSD and complex trauma.

We will agree on your priorities and work at your pace. Sessions combine understanding your experiences with practical steps, such as managing worry, reducing avoidance or improving communication. You will have time to reflect and opportunities to practise new skills between appointments.

My main approaches are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Behavioural Couples Therapy. I also draw on Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness according to your needs.

Appointments take place at 85 Wimpole Street, London, or online. I offer sessions in English and Turkish.

Please contact me to arrange a brief introductory call. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, answer your questions and explore whether my approach suits your needs.

I began private practice in 2009 and founded Synara Therapy & Training in 2025. My current work focuses on therapy, clinical supervision and professional training.
