About me

The Self Esteem, Anxiety & Trauma Therapist

Regain confidence. Regulate stress. Silence your inner critic.

Are you overwhelmed by unrelenting standards and the pressure to perfect your life? Do you feel like no matter how much you achieve, it’s never enough? Maybe you’re constantly overthinking, second-guessing yourself, pushing through exhaustion, or feeling guilty for slowing down?

Perhaps past experiences still affect you, making it difficult to feel safe or in control.  Your inner critic tells you to do more, be better—but instead of feeling accomplished, you feel anxious, drained, and disconnected from yourself?

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I’m Fatma Arnavut, a Cognitive Behavioural and EMDR Psychotherapist, specialising in self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, and ADHD. I help ambitious young professionals break free from low self esteem, perfectionism, overthinking, and self-doubt—so they can feel confident, balanced, and genuinely good about themselves.

Does This Sound Like You?

✔ You struggle with self-doubt, imposter syndrome, or fear of failure.

✔ You feel overwhelmed, anxious, or constantly on edge (GAD, OCD, panic, or social anxiety).

✔ You have a harsh inner critic, holding yourself to impossible standards.

✔ You find it hard to switch off, relax, or enjoy your achievements.

✔ You’re stuck in overthinking, low mood, or burnout.

✔ You want to heal from past experiences or trauma (PTSD, childhood wounds, relationship struggles).

✔ You want to stop chasing external validation and start feeling secure in who you are.

Struggling with ADHD? I understand.

Late-diagnosed ADHD can feel like a constant battle between your potential your reality and acute sensitivity to stress. You may struggle with overwhelm, emotional dysregulation, procrastination, or burnout—all while feeling like you should be able to keep up. I know this journey personally, and I’m here to help you work with your ADHD brain, not against it. Let me help you move from newly diagnosed and overwhelmed to teaching you proven techniques to embrace your challenges and build strength in how you deal with these! Through therapy, we can build practical strategies, compassion, self-acceptance, and a structure that actually works for you—so you can thrive, not just survive!

How I Help

I use a compassionate yet structured approach to help you:

✔ Challenge negative self-talk & perfectionism – Shift from self-criticism to self-confidence.

✔ Regulate stress & anxiety – Learn practical strategies to feel calmer and in control.

✔ Heal from past experiences – Address unresolved trauma, relationship wounds, or emotional patterns holding you back.

✔ Strengthen self-worth & resilience – Stop seeking approval and start feeling good about who you are.

✔ Create balance & meaning – Move from survival mode to a life that actually feels fulfilling.

My Approach

✔ Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – To help you reframe unhelpful thought patterns.

✔ EMDR Therapy – To process past experiences affecting your confidence & anxiety.

✔ Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) – To transform a harsh inner voice into self-acceptance.

✔ Mind-Body Techniques – Breathwork, mindfulness & nervous system regulation for long-term emotional balance.

Why Work With Me?

✔ I get it – As a therapist with 13 years experience, I understand the unique pressures you face.

✔ Compassionate, collaborative, nurturing, energetic - working alongside you on the difficulties you are navigating.

✔ Lived experience of ADHD – I personally understand the challenges of late-diagnosed ADHD and can help you navigate them.

✔ Results-driven but human – I blend practical tools with deep emotional work to create real, lasting change.

✔ A safe, judgment-free space – No overexplaining, no pressure—just support to help you grow.

✔  I help you explore what happened to you? Not only focusing on working with what you are presenting with / symptom reduction.
