About me

Welcome, I’m Ezgi.

As your therapist, you can expect a warm, safe, and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. I am passionate about ensuring that everyone is seen, heard, and understood as the unique individuals they are.

My areas of expertise include anxiety, childhood and adult trauma, attachment issues, relationship challenges, and depression. With extensive experience as a psychotherapist, I approach therapy with a focus on the whole person—past, present, and future—to help uncover and meet your emotional needs. My practice is rooted in a humanistic approach, keeping you at the heart of our work. However, I recognise that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, so I draw on a variety of tools to tailor our sessions to your specific needs.

I understand that facing life’s challenges can be difficult. With courage, respect, openness, and humility, I am dedicated to supporting your journey of self-discovery. By exploring attachment patterns and resolving inner and outer conflicts, we can work together toward authentic self-expression and a fulfilling way of life. My goal is to help you make the most of your life.

I know that finding the right help at the right time can be challenging. Perhaps you’ve worked with a counselor before and didn’t achieve the results you hoped for. That’s okay—it can take time to find the right fit. This is why I offer a free 20-minute consultation to determine if I am the right therapist for you.

With a background in mental health charities and community mental health services, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I have supported people dealing with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, family problems, attachment and trauma, various forms of abuse, anger, struggles with sexuality and identity, immigrant identity challenges, and bereavement and grief.

What might be the next step for you?

You’re welcome to schedule a complimentary 20-minute Zoom or phone consultation with me. This no-pressure conversation is an opportunity for us to discuss how we could work together, and for you to ask any questions you might have.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
