About me
I am an NCPS Accredited psychotherapist, specialising in trauma, offering a safe and compassionate space for clients to explore their experiences and begin to restore a sense of safety in both mind and body.
My role is to meet each client with respect, patience, and curiosity, while offering clear guidance and insights to help them make sense of what they are going through.
I offer both online and in-person sessions to young adults (18+) and adults.
Trauma-informed work:
A large portion of my work is supporting people who have experienced/need help with:
- Physical abuse / domestic violence
- Sexual abuse / assault
- Emotional abuse
- Childhood trauma
- Managing triggers
- Low self-esteem / self-worth
I approach these issues with sensitivity and care, creating an environment where clients feel heard, respected, and never judged. Healing from such experiences can feel overwhelming, but with the right support it is possible to rebuild safety, trust, and connection.
How I work:
My work is integrative and draws on a range of approaches, particularly psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, and trauma-informed psychoeducation. I place particular focus on the influence of childhood and early relationships, as these experiences often shape how we respond to the world as adults. Alongside exploring these patterns, I also use body-based strategies and practical tools to support emotional regulation and nervous system balance, reflecting the growing evidence that trauma is held as much in the body as it is in the mind.
I have been in my own personal therapy for over a decade and understand how difficult it can be to share painful experiences. Having recovered from my own struggles with PTSD and complex PTSD, I understand first-hand the complexities that trauma brings, and I have dedicated my training and practice to working in this delicate area of mental health.
Other interests:
Outside of the therapy room, I am a huge animal lover, and my dachshund Milo often joins me in sessions. His calm, gentle presence can be especially grounding for those who feel anxious at the start of therapy.
