About me
Healing begins in safety, when you feel safe enough to lower your guard, and speak freely.
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor offering online counselling for adults in Andover, Berkshire and across the UK. I provide a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, without fear of criticism or pressure.
At Self Belief Counselling, I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and emotional overwhelm. You may feel stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, self-doubt or insecurity, or perhaps you are struggling with grief, loss, rejection or long-standing feelings of unworthiness. At times, you may feel disconnected from who you are — or unsure how to move forward
My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity and unconditional positive regard. I will not direct or “fix” you. Instead, I work alongside you, building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you can feel heard, understood and valued.
Through online counselling, we gently explore your experiences and emotional patterns, helping you develop deeper self-awareness and resilience. From this place, old behaviours can begin to shift, creating space for self-compassion, clarity and meaningful growth.
I offer 50-minute online sessions for adults in Andover, Berkshire and throughout the UK.
Your first session provides an opportunity to explore what brings you to counselling and to agree how we will work together in a way that feels safe and supportive.
If you are looking for a compassionate online counsellor, I welcome you to get in touch.
Through a trusting and open therapeutic relationship, you can begin to explore your experiences at your own pace, gaining insight, self-compassion and emotional clarity. From here, growth unfolds naturally.
Training, qualifications & experience
My 40-year nursing background has deepened my understanding of emotional distress and human resilience, experience that now shapes my counselling approach, rooted in ethical and client-led practice.
I currently offer private counselling and also bring experience from working within the NHS, as well as with charitable organisations such as MIND and The Samaritans. I continue to volunteer within educational settings, supporting young people and adults with their emotional well-being.
My training combines BACP, and SEG certification; L2, L3, and L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
I aim to foster a counselling relationship where you feel safe, valued, and empowered to express yourself without fear of judgement.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
