About me
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious or emotionally drained, while still trying to keep everything going on the outside. You may be used to coping alone, overthinking everything, putting others first, or feeling like you have to hold everything together.
At times, life can begin to feel heavy, confusing or isolating, especially when stress, self-doubt, relationship difficulties or past experiences start affecting how you feel about yourself and the world around you.
I provide a warm, supportive and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about whatever is going on for you, at your own pace. My approach is compassionate, collaborative and grounded in real conversation. I believe therapy should feel human, genuine and supportive, while also helping you create meaningful change.
Together, we can begin to understand the patterns, experiences and emotions that may be keeping you stuck, helping you develop healthier ways of coping, relating and moving forward.
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including:
Anxiety and overthinking
Stress and burnout
Low self-esteem and self-criticism
Relationship difficulties
Emotional overwhelm
People pleasing and boundary issues
Depression and low mood
Grief and loss
Life transitions
Trauma and difficult past experiences
Many of the people I work with are used to being the person others rely on, while finding it difficult to prioritise themselves or ask for support.
My work is integrative, meaning I tailor therapy to you as an individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, online and in person.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, so I offer a free introductory phone call where we can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and whether working together feels like the right fit for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Amy - February 2026
"Before therapy, I was the one who always said yes, great on paper, but exhausted and anxious inside. Emma helped me calm the constant overwhelm, understand my people-pleasing habits, and start choosing myself without the guilt. Now I feel grounded, more confident, and actually like myself again. If you're holding it together but barely, she's amazing."
Mike - November 2025
“The thing that struck me about Emma at first was her warmth. She has a genuine desire to help, and it makes you feel seen and heard. We have gone to some of the darkest places in my past together and she has always held the light. She has helped me make peace with the parts of me I hate and find a new way to love myself. I can't recommend Emma enough. If you really want change, she will help you find it.”
Mandy - May 2025
“It was genuinely one of the most valuable experiences I’ve ever had. Emma offered an external, compassionate perspective that helped me let go of self-judgment and start embracing my journey, that has lead me here today. Perhaps most importantly, she unleashed the kind voice in my mind, the one that reminds me to be patient, trust the process, and value my story. If you’re navigating big changes or self-doubt or just the everyday challenge of life, I can’t recommend Emma enough. She’s thoughtful, intuitive, and truly sees you.”
Lauren - April 2025
“Emma is someone who brings incredible empathy, professionalism, and kindness to everything she does. She has a real gift for helping people feel safe, heard, and supported, and it’s easy to see why so many trust her on their healing journeys. If you’re looking for a therapist who is deeply committed to her clients’ wellbeing, Emma is truly exceptional!”
Beth - January 2025
“I can’t recommend Emma enough.
Incredible support, she’s changed my life. Genuinely”
