About me

There are many reasons why you may be considering counselling. You may be feeling stuck, struggling in your relationships, not in control or that you are experiencing a crisis. Maybe you feel you have reached a point in your life where you need to make a change.

I offer a calm, relaxed, non-judgemental space where we can work together to unravel what is going on.

This might be from things happening now, or from experiences in your past that are impacting you today. Together, we can explore your emotions; experiences; patterns of behaviour; ways of being in relationships and long-held beliefs that may be holding you back.

By gaining insight and increasing your awareness you can begin to make meaningful changes in your life and to move forward in a different way.

My approach

I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. I use a range of therapeutic approaches, which I tailor to your specific needs and circumstances.

I have worked with a wide-range of issues such as: trauma; anxiety; depression; low self-esteem; exploring sexuality; attachment; relationship issues; work issues and loss. I have a particular interest in working with people who have had an abortion, and the complex feelings that can arise afterwards.

I see clients in-person in N16 and E8, and online.

I have worked in a range of counselling services, including Mind, and in a London university counselling service.

Getting started

Choosing the right counsellor is really important. I offer a free, no obligation 20 minute phone or online consultation. I will explain how I work and you can tell me about what has brought you to counselling and what you may be looking for. I can also answer any questions that you have.

If you decide you would like to work together we will arrange a regular time to meet once a week.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are £65.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
