About me

I remember how hard it is to find the right ‘fit’ in a sea of therapists, and how difficult it can feel to reach out if you are new to therapy.

I am a firm believer in the idea that often just having the safe space and being heard by someone objective can literally change the way we view ourselves, make decisions and carry ourselves through the world.

I am a member of the BACP, and adhere to their ethical code. I work collaboratively with my clients - we talk about your goals and expectations of therapy and your life, and explore painful past experiences and patterns that may be holding you back.

I am an integrative therapist. I really believe in the power of talking therapy - and have special interests in bereavement, loss and neurodivergence.

I work in person in Clapham, and have a trauma informed approach - I really love my work as a therapist, and feel immensely privileged to join people on their 'journey' for a while.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have worked in both open ended practice and time limited therapy, and am a grief specialist, undertaking specific training for this in Autumn 2021.

I have experience in supporting clients through very dark times, and I tailor my approach to each client, depending on what they are bringing.

I have recently undertaken additional training around supporting clients with a neurodivergent profile - specifically autism, and I work in a trauma informed way - I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space for my clients and whatever they have decided they need help with.

I am trained in couple dynamics too, and finish a specific part of this, late 2025 - I am particularly interested in relationships - and how we can grow and develop in therapy, and then outside of the room alongside others in our significant relationships.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
