About me

I am an Accredited and experienced, Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Supervisor, registered with BACP and ITAA, I am also Enhanced DBS checked.
Located in Wilmslow and Alderley Edge, my practice is accessible to clients from both the SK9 and WA16 areas, such as Knutsford, Alderley Edge, Mobberley, Great Warford, Chelford, Marthall, Wilmslow, Macclesfield and Cheshire.
I have over 10 years experience working with, Adults, Individuals,Couples, Adolescents and Young People, Children, Parents and Families, on a wide spectrum of issues.
Individual Counselling:-
Supporting individuals with:- Bereavement, grief and loss, including Baby loss and Stillbirth. Working with:- Anxiety, stress, worry and Depression. Anger Management. Relationships, separation and conflict. Affairs and betrayals. Fear of uncertainty and the impact of Covid-19. Feelings of sadness, post-natal depression, panic disorder. Work related difficulties, major life changes. Support with decision making. Exam stress, bullying, OCD, weight issues, low self-esteem and cancer diagnosis.
Couples Counselling:- Having worked with couples for over twelve years, I have significant experience and training in this area. I offer an approach that has successfully supported couples dealing with the impact of affairs and betrayals, and with couples who want to change areas in the relationship where conflict repeatedly occurs and where couples want to find more effective ways of communicating and relating. Children, Adolescents and Families:- Having worked within the education sector for many years, alongside multi-agency teams to support children, adolescents and families, and, with my qualifications and experience in Counselling Young People and Families, I can provide sessions in the following areas:- Anxiety, Stress and Depression. Exam Stress. Bullying, Anger management, Bereavement, Loss and Family Separation, Low Self-Esteem. Please contact me for more details.
I provide sessions to adolescents and students going through exam stress, using a combination of Coaching, NLP and Counselling techniques, helping students and adolescents manage their anxiety successfully. I also work with parents and families who want support in developing their parenting skills and knowledge.
Supervision, Coaching and Mentoring:- I offer therapy to BACP trainees and those doing their Transactional Analysis training, providing Supervision to both trainee and qualified Counsellors and TA trainees and enjoy supporting Supervisees with their client work and professional development. I also offer Supervision, Coaching and Mentoring, to Professionals, who, either own their own business and want additional support and also individuals who work within organisations.
I am also a Life Coach and Hypnotherapist and can offer this to clients who wish to enhance their professional development or to incorporate this into their therapy.
Key Workers:- Also offering sessions to NHS staff, Carers and Key Workers wanting support during this difficult time.
Support Groups:- I run several support groups. A self development group for individuals who wish to work on self esteem, and feel that a small peer group environment would be of benefit to them. Support and motivation is provided through a combination of Coaching, NLP, and Therapy. I run a men only group and another for women, these groups meet once a fortnight.
My training is in Transactional Analysis, Psychotherapy, Counselling, CBT, Act Therapy, Coaching and Hypnotherapy.
I offer a warm, professional and respectful approach to the process of therapy and am passionate in my aim to provide a quality service to all clients. Working alongside, to support them in effectively resolving the issues they bring.
I run my own company, ImpactNorthWest, which provides training services for Schools, Organisations and Businesses. I also work in schools, providing Counselling and Behavioural support for children and adolescents.
I can provide both long and short term therapy. I also do therapy by phone and Zoom for clients who live out of the area.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I am currently offering both face to face and online therapeutic sessions either by phone or using Zoom as a phone or video platform. Zoom is free to use and download.
