About me
Hello and a warm welcome, I’m Emily.
Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, especially if you are unsure where to begin. You might be going through a difficult time, or have a sense that things are not quite right. Perhaps you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or wondering why certain patterns keep repeating?
I offer a gentle, calm and confidential space where you can slow down and begin to explore things at your own pace. My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different ways of working to support you as an individual, always guided by what feels right for you.
At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together. I see counselling as something we move through side by side, with curiosity and compassion. You can take your time here, with space to be yourself and share whatever feels important. Alongside my training, I bring a real, human understanding of how challenging life can feel at times. I believe that even in the most difficult moments, things can begin to shift in a more positive direction.
I have experience supporting people with anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD, trauma, abuse and relationship difficulties, as well as those facing separation, parental alienation, custodial disputes, or a loss of direction or purpose. You may be trying to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, or wanting to understand yourself more deeply, as you begin to find your own way forward.
Whether you are looking to reconnect with yourself, move through a life transition, or simply have a space to talk, I am here to walk alongside you.
I offer face to face sessions, online, by telephone, and walk and talk therapy. We can work short term or in a more open ended way, with sessions available weekly, fortnightly or monthly to suit your needs.
If you would like to take the next step, please get in touch by email or phone to arrange a chat.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
