About me

I offer counselling and coaching through all sorts of life circumstances and stages such as loss, grief, adjustment to life as a new parent or with physical health difficulties. Engaging with counselling can help with mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety. Individual, family, and couples' counselling offered in person and via live video chat.

Training, qualifications & experience

Master's Degree (for UK readers, with a 1st) in Counselling from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX USA. Additional advanced training in counselling for trauma, grief, and emergency/disaster support, community health practices, and career development coaching.

Bachelor's Degree in Religion and Education from Duke University in Durham, NC USA.

My career has spanned many roles in health care, from staff therapist in public and private agencies to business management and senior leader in large health care corporations. I have lived in several countries and cultures, and integrate this experience into my counselling practice.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
