About me
People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low in confidence, or simply in need of someone to talk to. Whatever brings you here, your experiences are valid—and unique to you.
I'm Ellen, a person-centred counsellor, and I offer one-to-one sessions in a calm, confidential space where you can speak openly, without fear of judgment. This is your time, and your space.
Counselling with me is flexible and tailored to what feels right for you. We can meet online, chat over the phone, or take our sessions outdoors with walk-and-talk therapy. You can also choose whether you’d like short-term support or something longer—there’s no pressure either way.
My role isn’t to give advice or tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you explore whatever’s on your mind. Together, we create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard.
I know reaching out can feel daunting—it takes courage to take that first step. I’m here to make it as easy and welcoming as possible.
To help you decide if I’m the right fit, I offer a free 15-minute phone call. It’s a chance for us to talk, answer any questions you might have, and see how it feels to connect.
If you're ready, I’d love to hear from you. And if you're still unsure, that’s okay too—take your time. I’m here when you’re ready.
Kind regards,
Ellen

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
