About me

My name is Ella; I am a dedicated and compassionate integrative counsellor. I work with adults who are looking for support through life’s changes and challenges, and I understand that it can be big or small things that can have emotional, mental, and physical impacts on our well-being. Life isn’t always within our control, but I am here to work through what we can control to make life feel lighter and easier when it is feeling heavy and difficult.

Counselling offers a safe space that is suitably disconnected from your life and relationships, which provides an unbiased and non-judgmental space to explore emotions, issues, and circumstances. My therapeutic approach is mainly centered around talking therapies but, when it is right for the client, I am happy to introduce more creative or cognitive approaches. I can offer both online and face-to-face sessions, located in Castle Vale, Birmingham.

I am here to listen to you and what you need; if you need to be challenged then I can challenge, if you need a supportive, listening ear then I will always listen, and if you don’t know what you need just yet then we can figure that out together.

I proudly see counselling as my vocation and I truly believe that, if you are willing, it can help you. However, it has to be the right fit, so if you are interested in working with me, please contact me for a free 20-minute referral call to see if I am somebody who can meet your needs.

I sincerely look forward to meeting you; thank you for taking the time to view my profile.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
