About me

I specialize in relationship dynamics, assisting both couples and individuals who are experiencing difficulties with their relationships, parents, siblings, or friends. I have successfully guided couples in transitioning from conflict to harmony. Furthermore, I have assisted individuals and young people in developing a comprehensive understanding of themselves and the systems within which they operate.

I offer face-to-face sessions for couples, individuals and young people (11yrs-18yrs). I have a client room in central Chelmsford near to parking and a 2 minute walk from the station.

As an integrative therapist, I utilise a Systemic approach with a focus on psychodynamic principles and cognitive-behavioural techniques. I prioritise active interventions to promote healing and growth. I recognise that every person comes with their unique set of challenges, which is why I tailor my approach to the client's specific needs.

For individuals and young people, I provide an Initial Assessment during our first appointment to discuss therapy goals and identify the key issues where you need support. For couples, I conduct an Initial Assessment followed by individual assessments for each partner, and then we reconvene to begin the therapeutic process together.

I am currently completing my Master of Science degree in Contemporary Psychosexual therapy and I am offering a discounted rate for my services.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an experienced psychotherapist with a diverse practice that includes private clients, charitable organizations, and educational institutions.

I am a Systemic and Psychodynamic psychotherapist, but also possess extensive training in a diverse array of therapeutic approaches that significantly enrich my practice. My expertise encompasses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-centered Counselling, each contributing to a holistic understanding of mental health. Furthermore, I have pursued specialized training in critical areas such as Art Therapy, Neurodiversity, Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Self-Harm, self-sabotage, PTSD and CPTSD and Anxiety. In addition to these qualifications, I hold a certification as a mental health first aider, equipping me with the skills to provide immediate support and intervention in crises.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
