About me

Welcome to my profile page and well done for taking a first step towards dealing with your problems.

I provide a relaxed, confidential, non-judgemental environment to explore the issues that are affecting you and help you find ways to express yourself and your private fears, woundings and situations.

My aim is to walk with you and assist you to unravel your thoughts, reveal your possibilities, potential and strive to manage the circumstances we can find ourselves in from time to time, as well as those difficult dilemmas and tragedies that can sweep us off our feet.

I have over 10 years of extensive experience in helping those suffering from depression, anxiety disorder, bereavement, addiction, low self-esteem, trauma, separation and divorce, family and work issues and also those who have experienced any realm of abuse or who feel unable to cope with the pace of life, and feel stressed or over-whelmed. Often we can find it difficult to verbalise what is causing us distress, it is my job to help you uncover the root source and solutions.

I have a humorous, direct approach to my clients, coupled with a friendly, genuine empathy and as I am trained intergratively, I can draw on a range of counselling techniques and theories to develop a bespoke helping model for each individual.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
